Rules and Regulations
To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all participants at the Polish International Cine Fest, please carefully review and adhere to the following rules and regulations. These guidelines are designed to maintain the integrity of our festival and provide a fair, professional environment for filmmakers, attendees, and industry professionals.
GENERAL ELIGIBILITY
Film Submissions:
Films must be submitted through our official submission partner, FilmFreeway. All films must not have been commercially released prior to the festival screening.
Language:
Films not in English must include subtitles. English subtitles are highly recommended for Polish films to reach a broader audience.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Submission Deadlines:
Submissions must be received by the deadlines specified on our FilmFreeway page. Deadlines are categorized into Early Bird, Regular, and Extended. Films submitted after the final deadline will not be considered.
Submission Fees:
Submission fees are required and vary based on the deadline category. Fees are non-refundable. Please ensure that your film meets all eligibility requirements before submitting.

SELECTION PROCESS
Selection Criteria:
Films are evaluated based on creativity, technical quality, storytelling, originality, and alignment with the festival’s mission. The selection committee’s decisions are final.
Notification:
Filmmakers will be notified of their selection status via email. Selected films will be listed on the festival’s official website and included in the screening program.
Screening Schedule:
The festival reserves the right to determine the film screening order and schedule.
Rights and Permissions:
By submitting your film, you affirm that you have obtained all necessary rights and permissions for music, images, and other content used in the film. You also grant the Polish International Cine Fest the right to screen your film and use excerpts for promotional purposes.
Attendance:
We encourage filmmakers to attend the festival to represent their films, engage with the audience, and participate in Q&A sessions. However, attendance is not mandatory and does not influence the selection process.
Awards and Recognition:
The festival awards films in various categories, including Best Feature, Best Short, Best Documentary, and Audience Choice. Award winners will receive official recognition and, in some cases, cash prizes or industry opportunities.
CODE OF CONDUCT
Respect and Professionalism:
All participants are expected to conduct themselves respectfully and professionally. Any form of harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated and may result in disqualification or removal from the festival.
Confidentiality:
All communication regarding film selection and festival proceedings is confidential. Participants are expected to maintain this confidentiality.
LEGAL DISCLAIMER
Liability:
The Polish International Cine Fest is not responsible for any loss or damage to submitted materials. Participants are advised to retain a copy of their submission.
Changes to Rules:
The festival reserves the right to amend these rules and regulations at any time. Participants will be notified of any changes.
